Job Description

Gemma Services, located on a picturesque 36-acre campus in Plymouth Meeting, promotes safety and nonviolence while cultivating a caring environment in a diverse and inclusive environment. The Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, security, and optimization of the organization's network, cloud, and virtual infrastructure. This role provides hands-on technical leadership for Cisco networking technologies, Fortinet FortiGate security platforms, Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization infrastructure, and Microsoft Azure cloud services. The position also supervises, mentors, and develops technical staff while ensuring the availability, reliability, and security of mission-critical systems across the organization.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressively responsible network engineering or infrastructure administration experience. Minimum of 2 years of technical leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience. Experience supporting enterprise multi-site network environments and hybrid cloud infrastructure. Experience with FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiAuthenticator. Experience with disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and high-availability infrastructure design. Experience managing vendors, telecom carriers, managed service providers, ISP relationships, and security partners. Technical Requirements Technology Area Required Experience Cisco Networking Cisco routers, switches, wireless infrastructure, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, VPN, routing, switching, and network troubleshooting.
Fortinet / Forti
Gate FortiGate firewall administration, firewall policies, VPNs, SD-WAN, security profiles, IPS, web filtering, firmware upgrades, logging, and rule reviews. FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer experience preferred. Microsoft Hyper-V Hyper-V host administration, virtual machine management, clustering, replication, storage configuration, backups, and performance tuning. Microsoft Azure Azure Virtual Networks, virtual machines, VPN Gateway, Azure Firewall, identity and security services, storage, backup, and hybrid cloud connectivity. Microsoft Infrastructure Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, identity management, and Microsoft 365/Entra ID familiarity.
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP). Fortinet
NSE 4, NSE 5, NSE
6, or equivalent Fortinet certification.
Microsoft Certified:
Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
