Required:
Experience supporting the design phase and engineering major components for large-scale energy storage projects; Travel 25% of the time for project specific duties; Active Driver License. Preferred Experience with Solar/PV Engineering and/or Construction experience (3+ years); Experience in one or more of these areas: Power electronics, Battery storage system design, Substation design, Generation tie design; Experience with energy storage technologies, including battery chemistries, power conversion units, and DC/DC converters; Experience with lithium-ion battery storage safety standards (UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NFPA 70E, NEC, applicable IFC/IBC sections); Experience with
IEC 61215, 61646, 61730.
Responsibilities Support design phase and engineer major components for large-scale energy storage projects; Recognize inconsistencies in engineering drawings, take corrective action, and strive for better design quality and efficiency; Identify and resolve errors in engineering studies and suggest future solutions; Understand specifications for major equipment purchasing, ensure clear communication, and propose solutions; Understand permitting requirements, propose solutions to legal challenges, and recommend site design improvements; Handle other assigned duties as needed; Travel 25% of the time for project specific duties.
