Network Architect - Cisco SDWAN Migration Specialist (Remote) (Pleasanton, CA, 94588) | 05/18/26 Easy Apply Share Job Job Description Network Architect - Cisco SDWAN Migration Specialist (Remote) We are seeking an experienced Network Architect for our global client to design and lead scalable, secure, and highly available network solutions for large-scale retail/store environments. This role will drive architecture across LAN, WAN, Store Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, 5G, and IoT connectivity. This is a 40-hour per week, 18-month contract (possible extension), a 100% remote role. This is a W2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and a 401K are offered.

Responsibilities:

• Design and define end-to-end network architecture for distributed retail/store environments.
• Lead architecture for Store Wi-Fi, LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and 5G connectivity solutions.
• Develop reference architectures, standards, and best practices for network deployments at scale.
• Support Store of the Future initiatives, including integration of IoT devices (POS, handhelds, kiosks, cameras, sensors).
• Partner with security teams to implement segmentation, Zero Trust, and secure edge networking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including store technology, cloud, infrastructure, and product teams.
• Evaluate and recommend network technologies, vendors, and service providers.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering and operations teams.
• Support high-severity incident escalations and drive root cause analysis when needed.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in network architecture and design for enterprise or retail environments.
• Strong expertise in LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, and branch networking.
• Experience with Cisco and Juniper networking technologies.
• Deep knowledge of routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and QoS.
• Experience designing networks for large-scale distributed environments with hundreds/thousands of sites.
• Strong understanding of network security architecture including firewalls, segmentation, VPNs, and DNS security.
• Experience with Viptela SDWAN, Meraki SASE, Mist Wireless, Zscaler, and Meraki Switching.
• Experience with cloud-managed networking including Cisco Meraki is preferred.
• Knowledge of 5G/LTE and IoT connectivity solutions is preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud networking including AWS, Azure, and GCP is preferred.
• Experience with automation tools including Python, APIs, and Infrastructure as Code is preferred.
• Relevant certifications including CCNP, CCIE, and JNCIP is preferred.
