Network Engineer III (LAN / Wireless - Tier 3)Location:
Raleigh, NC (Hybrid)Travel:
50%+ nationwide Summary We are seeking a senior?level Network Engineer to support complex LAN and wireless environments. This Tier 3 role focuses on advanced troubleshooting, network design, site surveys, and nationwide deployments. The position requires significant travel and the ability to work independently in fast?paced environments. Key Responsibilities- Serve as Tier 3 escalation point for complex LAN and wireless issues.
- Travel to remote sites for network surveys, installations, and upgrades.
- Design, implement, and support LAN and wireless infrastructure solutions.
- Configure and support Layer 2/Layer 3 networking and routing protocols.
- Perform network performance monitoring, optimization, and root cause analysis.
- Support firewall, switch, and load?balancing technologies.
- Conduct wireless site surveys and planning using industry tools.
- Mentor Tier 2 engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams.
- Plan and support scheduled upgrades, including off?hours work when required.
- Collaborate with cross?functional IT teams on integrated solutions. Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 8+ years of IT experience, with 5+ years supporting enterprise networks.
- Strong expertise in LAN and wireless architecture and troubleshooting.
- Experience configuring routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
- Experience with Wi?
- Hands?on experience supporting enterprise network hardware.
- Strong analytical, problem?solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Authorization to work in the United States and ability to obtain required access authorization.
