  • $81.

87/Hourly U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law We are seeking a Senior Ethernet Network Architect to design, develop, and manage advanced Ethernet network architectures for military ground vehicles and defense vehicle systems. This role supports new and existing vehicle platforms, leveraging Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Cameo, SysML, Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN), VLANs, Quality of Service (QoS), and Ethernet security standards to enable reliable, deterministic, and secure communications across software-defined vehicle networks.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain Ethernet network architectures for new and existing military ground vehicle platforms, ensuring compliance with customer and internal requirements. Create network architecture diagrams and reference designs using industry evaluations, engineering trade studies, and MBSE methodologies. Evaluate, refine, and update network architectures as system requirements, interface definitions, and design information evolve. Develop, capture, and review system and subsystem connectivity diagrams using SysML Internal Block Diagrams (IBDs), Block Definition Diagrams (BDDs), and electrical schematics. Identify, document, track, and manage network interface attributes and requirements within MBSE models using Cameo. Collaborate with software, cybersecurity, data, hardware, and systems engineering teams to integrate secure, reliable Ethernet communications across vehicle subsystems. Define and communicate Ethernet interface requirements, network design constraints, and architecture specifications to engineering teams and external vendors. Review lower-level hardware and software designs to verify compliance with approved network architectures and traceability to higher-level system requirements. Evaluate competing technical requirements and develop architecture trade-offs to support system performance, reliability, cybersecurity, and deterministic communications. Serve as the primary technical point of contact for Ethernet network architecture across multiple concurrent vehicle development programs.

U.S. Citizenship required by law or government contract Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline; other technical degrees considered with relevant experience. Minimum 10 years of engineering experience; fewer years may be considered with an advanced degree. Demonstrated experience developing Ethernet network architectures supporting both best-effort and deterministic communications. Experience designing and implementing vehicle Ethernet networks through the product delivery phase.

Technical knowledge and experience with:

Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) specifications Virtual LANs (VLANs) and Quality of Service (QoS) Ethernet security standards, including IEEE 802.1X and

IEEE 802.1AE

Multicast data streams and network traffic management Managed Ethernet switch and router configuration Layer 2 (L2) and Layer 3 (L3) network architectures Proven experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and Cameo modeling tools. Experience developing and interpreting SysML architecture models, connectivity diagrams, and system interface requirements. Ability to translate complex Ethernet networking concepts into clear, actionable interface requirements for multidisciplinary engineering teams. Ability to evaluate competing system requirements and coordinate network architecture decisions across hardware, software, cybersecurity, and external vendor teams. Ability to work on-site up to 100%, with limited remote flexibility potentially available.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with Controller Area Network (CAN) communications and vehicle CAN network architectures. Moseley Technical Services, Inc. is an AA/EEO/Veterans/Disabled Employer.
