This role offers a balanced mix of approximately 50% operational support and 50% project-based work , making it ideal for a hands-on network professional who enjoys both troubleshooting complex infrastructure and leading strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will have strong enterprise networking experience, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with internal teams, vendors, and managed service providers. The role also requires a willingness to perform hands-on infrastructure work and travel to remote facilities as needed. Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Operations & Infrastructure Support Maintain network availability and reliability across corporate, data-center, and remote facilities. Troubleshoot complex network incidents, outages, and break/fix issues. Perform root-cause analysis and document incidents, findings, and resolutions. Support enterprise switching, wireless networking, network access control, firewalls, load balancers, and cloud networking. Partner with managed service providers responsible for firewall administration and other network services. Provide technical oversight and validation of third-party network and security work. Support data-center and remote-site network hardware and infrastructure. Perform hands-on installation activities, including racking and stacking switches and other network equipment. Coordinate with onsite technical support and data-center smart-hands resources when physical assistance is required. Network Projects & Modernization Lead network projects from planning and design through implementation and completion. Coordinate and manage third-party vendors supporting network initiatives. Develop and maintain accurate technical, operational, and project documentation. Support network design, hardware refreshes, infrastructure upgrades, and modernization initiatives. Participate in the deployment of new networking technologies and architectures. Travel to corporate and remote facilities to support installations, upgrades, and infrastructure projects. Network Environment The team supports approximately 42 remote facilities nationwide , including distribution centers, ports, training centers, and other corporate and operational locations.
