Job Description

About the Role As a Tosca Automation Lead, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and optimizing automated testing solutions that improve software quality, accelerate release cycles, and drive testing efficiency across enterprise applications. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and work collaboratively with test engineers, developers, business stakeholders, and client teams to deliver high-quality automation solutions.
In This Role, You Will:
Design, develop, maintain, and execute Tosca automation solutions for web applications, APIs, web services, and backend databases. Build reusable Test Step Blocks, test cases, and automation frameworks aligned with business and functional requirements. Prepare and manage test data using Tosca Test Data Management (TDM) and Test Data Service (TDS) to support comprehensive test execution. Assess, remediate, and enhance large-scale Tosca automation suites to improve stability, maintainability, and coverage. Lead, mentor, and collaborate with automation engineers while providing execution reporting, defect analysis, and automation best practices to client and project teams. Rest assured; we will always be clear about role expectations. What You Need to Have to Be Considered 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering and Test Automation. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca . Advanced expertise in designing, developing, and executing Tosca automation solutions . Active Tricentis Tosca certification (AS1, AS2, or AE1) . Experience automating web applications, APIs, web services, and database validations using Tosca. Strong experience creating reusable automation assets, test cases, and framework components. Hands-on experience with Tosca Commander, XScan, TestCase Design, Test Data Service (TDS), TDM, Execution Lists, Test Events, and DEX Agents. Experience developing Tosca automation for Pega and other enterprise web-based applications. Ability to analyze execution results, troubleshoot failures, and distinguish environmental issues from application defects. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. These Will Help You Stand Out Experience leading or mentoring Tosca automation teams in large enterprise environments. Experience remediating and modernizing large-scale automation suites. Exposure to Agile, Scrum, and DevOps testing practices. Experience working in highly regulated industries such as Healthcare, Banking, or Insurance. Knowledge of API validation, service virtualization, and end-to-end test automation strategies. Ability to create executive-level automation execution reports and quality metrics. Salary and Other Compensation The annual salary for this position is between $71,100 to $112,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
