Wired & Wireless Networking Clearance:
Ability to Obtain a Government Security Clearance About the Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support a growing portfolio of enterprise, commercial, and government network infrastructure projects across the United States. Based in Charleston, SC , this role is responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, and supporting wired and wireless network solutions utilizing Cisco, Juniper, and Meraki technologies . The ideal candidate has hands-on enterprise networking experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the flexibility to travel nationwide based on project needs. What You'll Do
  • Design, configure, deploy, and support wired and wireless enterprise network infrastructure
  • Conduct network and wireless site surveys, assessments, and infrastructure evaluations
  • Configure and deploy Cisco, Juniper, and Meraki networking equipment
  • Develop network architectures, topologies, and deployment documentation
  • Program and configure switches, routers, and wireless access points (WAPs)
  • Troubleshoot network performance, connectivity, and infrastructure issues
  • Assist with equipment recommendations, material takeoffs, and project estimates
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, customers, and field technicians throughout project execution
  • Produce as-built documentation, network diagrams, and implementation reports
  • Support network migrations, cutovers, commissioning, and system acceptance testing
  • Ensure network solutions comply with customer requirements, industry standards, and applicable security policies What You'll Bring
  • 3+ years of experience designing, configuring, and deploying enterprise network infrastructure
  • Experience with Cisco Catalyst switching platforms
  • Experience configuring and supporting Juniper networking equipment
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki cloud-managed networking solutions
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless networking technologies
  • Experience performing network surveys, assessments, and topology development
  • Ability to create and maintain technical network documentation and diagrams
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the United States up to 50%
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening
  • Ability to obtain a government security clearance Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting government, defense, or public-sector infrastructure projects
  • Experience with Ekahau or similar wireless survey software
  • Knowledge of network security best practices and secure network architecture
  • Experience supporting large-scale network refresh, migration, or modernization projects
  • Industry networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS, CWNA, or equivalent Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable climbing ladders and working in telecommunications rooms, data centers, and construction environments
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during site surveys and installations Compensation & Benefits
