Position Overview for the Senior Network Engineer -

WAN/LAN:

This senior-level networking expert will deploy, manage, and improve wired and wireless network solutions across a campus enterprise architecture. Responsible for leading large-scale network projects, upgrades, and implementations independently with minimal oversight. Supports network operations by providing expert-level troubleshooting, planning, and documentation. Participates in on-call rotations to ensure network reliability outside of regular hours. Researches and applies new networking technologies to enhance university systems. Requirements for the Senior Network Engineer -

WAN/LAN:

Associate degree in a related field. Six (6) years of direct industry-related experience in network administration and/or network engineering. Intermediate working knowledge of networking concepts: WAN/LAN, DNS/DHCP, Layer 3/2, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, firewalls, and security policies such as access control lists. Ability to glean network requirements from users, technical and conceptual drawings. Proven experience in the planning and execution of large-scale network infrastructure deployments.
