Job Title:
Network EngineerJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Network Engineer to take full ownership of our network architecture, connectivity strategy, reliability, and serviceability. This role is crucial as networking challenges have become a recurring issue during testing and field deployments. The initial focus will be on supporting our Titan robotic construction platform, with future responsibilities expanding to additional products. Responsibilities
+ Design and manage overall network architecture and connectivity strategy.
+ Ensure network reliability and serviceability.
+ Support the Titan robotic construction platform and additional products.
+ Centralize network ownership currently distributed across multiple teams.
+ Collaborate closely with software, systems, controls, and hardware engineering teams.
+ Troubleshoot network issues in complex environments.
+ Design redundancy and failover systems. Essential Skills
+ Experience in industrial networking and IT convergence.
+ Familiarity with EtherCAT, PLC, IPC, and VPN technologies.
+ Proficiency in network architecture and design.
+ Knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, and remote connectivity.
+ Strong capability in network troubleshooting and reliability design. Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with robotics, automation, manufacturing, or other integrated systems.
+ Familiarity with Beckhoff, TwinCAT, PLCs, SCADA, or industrial Ethernet environments.
+ Experience supporting remote engineering teams.
+ Knowledge of cellular/5G networking and failover.
+ Strong documentation and process development skills. Work Environment This is a fully onsite role where you will work on the Titan robotic construction printer, consisting of multiple interconnected subsystems including robotics, sensors, controls, software applications, and remote support infrastructure. The work environment offers 10 paid holidays and 1 week of PTO, ideally used during the holiday shutdown in December. Our company is growing, providing opportunities for upward mobility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
