Job Requirements Fort Worth, TX Public Trust Polygraph None Career Level not specified Salary not specified Join Premium to unlock estimated salaries Job Description Overview The Network Engineering Team shall perform a detailed root cause analysis and assess overall impact with respect to incidents and problems relating to the applications which cannot be resolved by the Tier 1 or Tier 2 Support teams. The Network Engineering Team also modifies the code and/or changes the configuration, if required, to correct the identified defect, and performs necessary acceptance testing before re-issuing the code for general use. Tier 3 performs application capacity planning, life cycle management, development, customization, and maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for responding to trouble tickets from the Help Desk automated trouble ticketing system. Performs network-related hardware and software System Administration functions best suited for after hours, including patches, upgrades, service packs, hotfixes, etc. to ensure system availability, reliability, and serviceability. Analyze and resolve network connectivity issues including, but not limited to, network outages, switch failures, network performance, network interface card (NIC), cabling, TCP/IP configuration, etc. Provide Maintenance and resolve issues in relation to Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies including, but not limited to, routers, 16.3.2.1 ATM, Frame Relay, etc.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must maintain a current Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification. At least four (4) years of experience working with the TCP/IP networking environment; familiarity with Domain Names Services (DNS), etc.SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
High level of familiarity with networking technologies and capable of troubleshooting all levels of network connectivity issues including, but not limited to, network outages, switch failures, network performance, network interface card (NIC), cabling, TCP/IP configuration, etc. Knowledge of and familiarity with Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies including, but not limited to, routers, 16.3.2.1 ATM, Frame Relay, etc.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
