Job Description We are seeking a Network Security Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise and data center networking, network security, and HPE Aruba/Juniper/Arista ecosystems and a proven ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex, high-availability network environments .
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and support enterprise and data center network solutions including Leaf-Spine architectures. Configure and troubleshoot routing, switching, wireless, and security features across multi-vendor platforms. Manage IP services including DNS, DDNS, DHCP, and NTP using Infoblox and BIND platforms. Optimize network performance using QoS, Policy-Based Routing, NetFlow, and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and application response tools. Administer and support Aruba solutions including Mobility Controllers, Instant APs, AirWave, Central, Activate, and ClearPass. Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents and service requests across campus, branch, and data center environments. Document designs, standards, configurations, and operational procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, and core services including TCP/IP, DNS, DDNS, DHCP, SSH, VPNs, and IP routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, BGP, Multicast, MPLS). Strong understanding of Ethernet, EVPN, BGP, OSPF, IGMP, STP/RSTP, 802.1X, and wireless 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. Hands-on experience with Policy-Based Routing, QoS, NetFlow, NAT, ACLs, IPSec, web security/URL filtering, IPS, and malware prevention. Proficiency configuring and troubleshooting QoS, VLANs, and ACLs using tools such as NetFlow, SolarWinds, and application performance monitors. IPv4 and IPv6 expertise with strong knowledge of network infrastructure, addressing, traffic management, DNS/DHCP, NTP, security, and monitoring tools. Experience implementing changes and troubleshooting in complex environments using Infoblox and BIND. Skills with HPE Aruba routing, switching, and wireless, including Mobility Controllers, Instant APs, AirWave, Central, Activate, and ClearPass. Experience with SDN and SD-WAN solutions and working knowledge of structured cabling and network facilities. Working experience with HPE Aruba, 3Com/H3C, Arista, and Juniper switches and Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Check Point firewalls. Background in network design and security, including device hardening, IDS/IPS, SIEM, firewalls, IPSec, and vulnerability assessment. Strong experience with Juniper and Arista hardware, including
QFX5120/5130
switches, and Leaf-Spine architectures with
EVPN-VXLAN.
Ability to assist in network and equipment issue troubleshooting with solid documentation and process orientation.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with cybersecurity practices and tooling, including IDS/IPS and SIEM.
