Job Description

Description NexGen Data Systems is seeking an Infrastructure Support Engineer. This position supports DHA Medical Treatment Facilities and is responsible for addressing network outages and issues. The Infrastructure Support Engineer will support internal and external customers and engage with them frequently. They are responsible for identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving network issues.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting and resolving network issues in a timely manner with a variety of different network devices and protocols. Working in a team setting and making recommendations related to troubleshooting, device configuration, and documentation. Effectively Interacting with multiple customers on a daily basis.

Requirements Desired/Required Skills:
Active Department of Defense Secret level security clearance required. DoD Approved 8570 / 8140 OS and Cybersecurity certifications required. 5+ years relevant experience in supporting a large network infrastructure. Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred but not required. A strong working knowledge with Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and Virtual Private Network devices. A good understanding of TCP/IP in regard to routing and subnetting Must be a team player that can work under pressure with good written and oral communication skills Experience with the following Network protocols and services: Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP), Access Control Lists, Layer 2 Switching, Spanning Tree, and Packet Analysis. Experience with the following a plus: Cisco Switches, Palo Alto Firewalls, and F5 devices. A strong sense of urgency including self-governance on task priority. Must be willing to work shifts to cover a 24x7 operational environment. About the
