Job Description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Windows Server Build Automation Engineer for a hybrid position (3 days onsite per week required) with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ, Plano, TX, or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

The Windows Server Build Automation Engineer is responsible for developing a next generation, highly automated server build environment. This senior role involves leveraging HashiCorp Packer and CI/CD pipelines to automate image creation and deployment. The engineer will work independently and in distributed teams to gather requirements, design and test new service offerings, document solutions, and transition them to operational support.

Responsibilities:

Develop a next generation, highly automated server build environment

Leverage HashiCorp Packer and CI/CD pipelines to automate image creation and deployment

Utilize Ansible-driven configuration management and extensive PowerShell development

Work with modern DevOps tooling such as JIRA within an agile delivery framework

Gather requirements, design and test new service offerings

Document solutions and transition them to operational support

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience with MS Windows Server
• 4+ years of experience with Windows Server 2022/2025
• 5+ years of PowerShell development experience
• 4+ years of experience with Ansible
• 2+ years of experience with HashiCorp Packer and Chocolatey
• 2+ years of experience with Terraform
• Experience with RedHat Linux
• Proficiency with GIT and Artifactory
• Experience with Microsoft Azure
• Knowledge of NuGet

Desired skills:

Experience with automation for large-scale cloud deployments

Experience with VMware vRealize

Linux scripting (bash/python)

API development with tools like Swagger WebAPI

Pay range: $60.24 - $68.24 per hour
