Engineering Technician 3

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce is immediately seeking an experience Engineering Technician in support of our enterprise computing and technology infrastructure customer based in Round Rock, Texas. The Technician will be providing L1/2 systems support and L1 networking support for engineering teams developing enterprise server and storage products.

Duties:

• Maintain lab inventory and perform server re-build/reconfiguration support as needed
• Oversee the timely distribution of assets to appropriate engineering group(s)
• Supporting engineering departments in development, prototyping, deployment, and in-market activities
• Investigate and resolve application and network issues reported by internal customers using monitoring software, root-cause analysis and troubleshooting skills
• Support LAN with MS AD and multi-OS server environment - interface with WAN NetOps team for modifications and site-to-site integration as required
• Create, maintain, and exucute test for various hardware commodities

REQUIREMENTS

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3-5 years of experience ideal - looking for a candidate who is wanting to learn
• Experience with vRealize Orchestrator, vRealize Automation, Enterprise Storage, Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence)
• Experience with enterprise storage, server and switch products
• Experience with Linux, Windows Server, or VMWare/vSphere/vCenter
• Experience in the aumentation of physical server configuration
• Self, driven, motivated, self-driven The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role.

We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
