1247-383 • Full-Time/Regular The Network Engineer supports the planning, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure in a secure operational environment. This role contributes to reliable and secure connectivity by assisting with network design, hardware configuration, troubleshooting, documentation, and technology integration efforts. Key Responsibilities Assist with the design and deployment of enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Support the integration of new network technologies into existing environments. Perform routine network monitoring to ensure system health, performance, and connectivity. Configure and update network devices under established engineering guidance. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues across local and wide-area networks. Maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configuration files, and change logs. This position is designed to be flexible, with responsibilities evolving to meet business needs and enable individual growth. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, Master's degree with 3 years of experience, PhD with 0 years of experience, or 4 additional years of related experience in lieu of a degree. U.S. Citizenship required. Current active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility/access required. Must meet DoD 8140/DCWF Work Role 411 requirements, including approved baseline certification and applicable knowledge, skills, and abilities for managing, monitoring, and maintaining DoD gateway and boundary systems. Experience supporting enterprise network operations and troubleshooting connectivity issues. Familiarity with configuring routers, switches, and firewalls. Basic understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, and network segmentation. Experience performing routine network maintenance and monitoring. Preferred Qualifications Experience with enterprise-class networking hardware such as Cisco or Juniper. Familiarity with wireless network configuration and troubleshooting. Experience supporting hybrid cloud networking environments. Basic knowledge of load balancers and VPN technologies. Why Work for Us?
