Position Summary Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) team is seeking an exceptional candidate for an engineer position supporting semiconductor factory automation. This position is hardware focused and will manage new AMHS projects as well as upgrades / retrofits of existing AMHS equipment. Ownership extends from equipment installation through equipment qualification. The individual is expected to identify opportunities for improvement in terms of safety, efficiency and cost. The role also supports system operations and resolves production issues by analyzing system / history logs in a timely manner.
Role and Responsibilities Here's What You'll Be Responsible For:
Manage internal customers, vendors and contractors to complete assigned projects on schedule and in budget. Perform QA/QC of incoming equipment prior to acceptance. Coordinate parts shipping, receiving, storage, and staging. Oversee installation and validation of hardware and software upgrades. Communicate technical information (8D) to senior leadership inside and outside of department through presentations. Assist with preventative maintenance activities by providing awareness of system performance and reliability. Creates standard recovery procedures and troubleshooting documentation. Provide 24X7 support for installation projects (7 days within a month on-call support is required). Skills and Qualifications Here's what you'll need: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferred Mechanical) 0 to 3 years of experience in Automation Engineering industry experience AutoCAD certification and/or working experience strongly preferred Examples of successful project management and/or certification. Always looking for opportunities to simplify, automated tasks, and build new projects. Ability to troubleshoot complex systems in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Ability to communicate technical details both verbally and in writing. Ability to work across cross cultural settings and globally distributed projects. Able to work in construction environment with Personal Protective Equipment (
PPE:
hard toe shoes, hard hat, safety glasses, etc.) and wear clean room suit per the SAS Fab protocol. Must be able to lift > 25 lbs. The current base salary range for this role is between $76,000 - $120,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
