What You'll Do The Principal Automation & Control Engineer serves as the technical authority for substation automation and control systems across large-scale electrical infrastructure supporting hyperscale data center campuses and grid-integrated energy systems. This role is responsible for ensuring highly reliable, secure, and compliant automation, monitoring, and control systems that support mission-critical operations while meeting utility and grid operator requirements. Key Responsibilities Provide technical guidance design, architecture, and technical oversight of Substation Automation and Control Systems across HV/MV substations and transmission interconnections. Review automation philosophies, control logic, HMI design, alarm management, and sequence of operations. Provide technical guidance for SCADA, Grid Control Systems (GCS), Network Operations Center (NOC), and communication system integration. Provide technical guidance in design, and validate Load Shedding , Remedial Action Schemes (RAS), and automated system restoration strategies. Collaborate with Protection & Control, Substation Design, Telecommunications, Power System Studies, and Data Center Engineering teams. Develop standards for Digital Substations utilizing IEC 61850, IEDs, and advanced automation technologies. Ensure compliance with
