Network Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to support and enhance enterprise network operations in Manassas, Virginia. This Long-term Contract position focuses on maintaining secure, reliable connectivity across critical infrastructure while contributing to ongoing improvements in routing, firewall administration, and switching environments. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, Palo Alto security platforms, and Aruba solutions to help deliver stable and well-managed network performance.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize network infrastructure that includes Cisco routing technologies, enterprise switching, and perimeter security platforms.
• Administer Palo Alto firewalls and use Strata Cloud Manager to monitor performance, enforce security policies, and support ongoing operational needs.
• Configure and support Aruba switching environments while leveraging Aruba Central for visibility, device management, and issue resolution.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) configurations to ensure dependable routing and external connectivity.
• Support Cisco ASA firewall environments by applying configuration updates, reviewing access controls, and resolving network security issues.
• Diagnose network incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and service disruption.
• Collaborate with technical teams to plan, test, and implement infrastructure changes while maintaining network stability and security.
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation for configurations, procedures, diagrams, and support activities.
