We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer for a contract role in Mechanicsville, Virginia. This 6+ month position focuses on implementing and supporting enterprise IT network infrastructure, including day-to-day activities related to network support, configuration, and documentation. Responsibilities Support and maintain enterprise IT network infrastructure Document network infrastructure and configurations Set up, configure, upgrade, manage, and troubleshoot routers, switches, and wireless access points Design, install, and troubleshoot local-area and wide-area enterprise networks Monitor IT environments for compliance with information security, architecture policies, and standards Provide engineering and design support for networking infrastructure Qualifications Required 8+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise routers, switches, VPN concentrators, firewalls, and wireless access points 8+ years of hands-on experience setting up, configuring, upgrading, managing, and troubleshooting routers, switches, and wireless access points 8+ years of demonstrated hands-on ability to design, install, and troubleshoot local-area and wide-area enterprise networks 8+ years of direct hands-on engineering and design experience in the networking industry 8+ years of in-depth experience designing, installing, and troubleshooting local-area and wide-area enterprise networks 8+ years of experience monitoring IT environments for compliance with information security, architecture policies, and standards Industry standard networking certification (example: Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA-Junos, or equivalent)
