Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Watch Officer to support a company focused on delivering secure, reliable enterprise network operations for the United States Marine Corps. This position is on-site at Quantico, VA . The Watch Officer will provide 24/7 monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, and operational support for the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN), ensuring continuous network availability and mission readiness. This role directly supports mission-critical military communications by maintaining visibility and responsiveness across classified and unclassified network environments. Responsibilities for the Watch Officer include: Monitor Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN-N) and MCEN-S networks, including email, voice, and official message traffic Perform Tier 1 First Contact Resolution and provide after-hours Regional Service Desk (RSD) support Conduct routine network checks and monitor ongoing maintenance and operational status Troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate technical issues while opening, updating, and closing incident tickets Correlate events and incidents, communicate service degradations or outages, and support continuous network operations in a shift-based environment Required Qualifications for the Watch Officer include: 5+ years of experience in IT operations, network support, NOC, watch floor, or service desk environments Experience with network monitoring, router and switch configuration, incident management, and IT ticketing systems Strong troubleshooting, customer service, communication, and escalation management skills High school diploma or equivalent required Active Secret Clearance DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) required Compensation for the Watch Officer include:
