Job Description

About the Role We are seeking a skilled Automation Specialist to support production by setting up, troubleshooting, and operating automated systems within our facility. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in welding and robotics to implement best practices, assess applications, and provide guidance to junior technicians. Your proficiency in electrical and mechanical systems will be crucial in maintaining and improving our automated processes. Responsibilities Provide mentorship and guidance to Automation Technician I and Weld Technicians, fostering their professional growth. Ensure adherence to all safety procedures and protocols while servicing and maintaining equipment, promoting a safe working environment. Utilize electrical and mechanical prints to efficiently troubleshoot equipment issues, minimizing downtime. Conduct, train on, and evaluate equipment preventative maintenance procedures, ensuring optimal performance. Modify and perform basic programming tasks for robots across various robotic applications, enhancing automation capabilities. Address and resolve intermediate-level welding issues across diverse welding applications (drawn arc, GMAW, resistance welding, projection welding, pneumatic systems, etc.), ensuring high-quality welds. Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English to effectively perform job duties, including following instructions and safety procedures. Ability to stand for extended periods (8-10 hours) and perform essential job functions with or without accommodation. Successful completion of pre-offer Auto Tech I and II testing; ability to obtain a qualification card within 6-12 months.
