Overview We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial equipment, including forklifts and heavy machinery. Your expertise will ensure our customers' equipment runs reliably and safely, supporting their operational success. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics and repairs on forklifts, including electrical, hydraulic, transmission, and engine systems using schematics and OEM manuals. Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and safety standards. Fabricate or modify parts as needed using hand tools, power tools, welding, and soldering techniques. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, tractors, and farm machinery. Test repaired equipment to verify proper operation and adherence to safety regulations. Maintain detailed service records, including repair logs and inspection reports. Assist with equipment assembly, tire service, brake repair, alignment, suspension work, and other related tasks. Skills Proven experience working with dealership or OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) heavy machinery and industrial equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, transmissions, air brakes, and diesel engines. Skilled in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systems. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons and other maintenance tools. Experience with vehicle maintenance including tire service and brake repairs on forklifts or similar vehicles. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or installations. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and technical support.
