Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Systems Technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware and software support, with the ability to troubleshoot a wide range of technical issues. Responsibilities (including but not limited to) Hardware Support Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and peripherals1 Set up and manage server hardware, including rack mounting, cabling, and basic configuration1 Perform routine hardware maintenance and upgrades Software and Operating Systems Install and configure operating systems and software applications on various platforms Implement software updates and patches to ensure system security and performance Troubleshoot software and hardware related issues and conflicts Networking Assist in the installation and maintenance of network equipment Configure and troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues Set up and manage user accounts, email and access permissions End-User Support Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in person Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related problems Offer clear explanations and instructions to users of varying technical expertise System Maintenance Perform regular system checks and preventative maintenance1 Monitor system performance and implement optimizations Maintain accurate documentation of technical processes and solutions Inventory Management Track and manage IT equipment inventory Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software procurement Assist in the disposal of outdated or non-functional equipment Qualifications Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred 3+ years of experience in IT support or similar role Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems Familiarity with server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux) Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users Ability to work independently and as part of a team Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, CCNA etc) are a plus Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds3 May require occasional climbing, bending, and working in confined spaces The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a customer-service orientation, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

$40,000.00 - $66,350.00 per year
