Job Description

The Service Engineer I is an entry-level, customer-facing, technical service role. This position involves frequent travel to customer sites to assist with system installations, start-ups, troubleshooting, and hands-on technical support. Service Engineer I team members represent Actionpaq as brand ambassadors, working directly with customers to ensure satisfaction, while documenting and reporting all service activity. This is a heavy travel position that will require up to 75% travel. When not traveling to customer sites, this position will be based at our Rogers, Arkansas facility, supporting lab operations, testing, training, and product validation activities. This role offers significant opportunities for technical growth and career advancement into higher-level service engineering positions. .
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform system installations, start-ups, and assist senior technicians with service requests.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain Actionpaq mag-drive systems under the guidance of more senior engineers.
  • Deliver professional, customer-focused service in-person, over the phone, and through virtual channels.
  • Provide basic training to customers on proper use, care, and upkeep of equipment.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all service activities, interactions, and equipment records in Quickbase.
  • Manage and maintain service tools, parts, and equipment readiness.
  • Escalate complex technical issues promptly to senior engineers or the Technical Support Lead.
  • Support lab operations, testing, system configuration, and product validation when working from the Rogers, AR location.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • 0-2 years of experience in field service, technical support, or related role.
  • Basic mechanical/electrical aptitude with a hands-on learning mindset.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively (75%+), including occasional weekends.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Rogers, AR when not traveling.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Quickbase experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within a fast-moving technical environment.
  • The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role.
Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
