Full Job Description Overview:
Hexagon's Autonomous Solutions division is looking for a System Administrator to join our team in Tucson, AZ . Reporting to the Information Systems Infrastructure team, this role will deploy, configure, and maintain cloud and on-premises infrastructure while supporting secure, reliable, and scalable technology services that enable business operations and product development across a global organization.

Responsibilities:
As System Administrator you will be responsible for these activities: Manage and maintain cloud and datacentre infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across public and private cloud environments. Deploy, configure, monitor, and maintain on-premises and cloud-based services, platforms, and applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and optimize infrastructure solutions that align with business requirements. Conduct system audits, perform updates, and implement security measures to protect against vulnerabilities and threats. Troubleshoot and resolve system and performance issues while providing timely support to minimize business disruption. Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, system configurations, and standard operating procedures. Collaborate with IS and development teams to establish best practices for automation, monitoring, disaster recovery, and infrastructure management. Research and implement improvements that enhance system performance, scalability, and security.
Qualifications:
Must Have:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a System Administrator managing cloud-based systems and infrastructure. Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure. Solid understanding of VMware technologies including vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and vSAN. Extensive experience administering Windows Server environments including Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, and DNS. Strong understanding of infrastructure operations, security, and system availability concepts. Excellent troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
Nice To Have:
Experience with Linux server administration and configuration management tools such as Proxmox, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles across VMware, Windows, and cloud environments. Experience with scripting and automation in Linux and Windows environments. Professional certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or
Microsoft Certified:
Azure Administrator Associate.
