The Network Administrator will maintain and improve the company's network infrastructure, including servers, workstations, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, virtualization platforms, backup systems, email systems, VoIP phones, printers, and related hardware and software. This role requires a hands-on technical professional with strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to support daily IT needs, and the ability to help strengthen cybersecurity, system reliability, documentation, and data protection. Duties and Responsibilities Install, configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot network hardware, software, servers, workstations, peripheral devices, and communication systems. Maintain reliable operation of LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, firewall, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, and internet connectivity. Administer Microsoft Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, user accounts, file permissions, shared drives, and access controls. Support Microsoft 365, Exchange, email systems, spam filtering, and related cloud or hybrid services. Manage virtualization environments, including VMware, ESX/ESXi, virtual servers, snapshots, storage, and resource allocation. Configure and maintain Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, access points, and other network infrastructure. Monitor network performance, system availability, storage capacity, bandwidth usage, and server health. Recommend, schedule, and perform system upgrades, patches, repairs, and equipment replacements. Maintain antivirus, endpoint protection, malware protection, security patches, and system updates. Support multifactor authentication, password policies, user access reviews, and least-privilege access practices. Assist with firewall rules, VPN access, secure remote access, web filtering, email security, and spam protection. Monitor systems for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, failed logins, and security alerts. Support incident response by identifying, documenting, escalating, and assisting with resolution of security events. Maintain data backup systems, recovery procedures, disaster recovery planning, and periodic backup testing. Provide technical support for employees experiencing hardware, software, network, email, printer, phone, and application issues. Record, track, and document help desk requests from initial report through final resolution. Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, VoIP phones, remote access, shared drives, and business applications. Maintain accurate inventory of servers, computers, network devices, printers, phones, software licenses, warranties, and related IT assets. Document network diagrams, IP address assignments, VLANs, firewall rules, system configurations, support procedures, and technical standards. Required Qualifications Strong experience administering Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file permissions, and user access. Experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange, Outlook, email administration, spam filtering, and cloud-based identity tools. Hands-on experience with VMware, ESX/ESXi, virtual machines, storage, and server maintenance. Experience configuring and maintaining Cisco switches, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and network routing. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, wireless networking, network segmentation, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, and firewall rules. Experience maintaining PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, VoIP phones, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment. Experience with backup systems, recovery procedures, and business continuity practices. Working knowledge of antivirus, endpoint security, patch management, remote access, and cybersecurity best practices. Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and user issues in a timely and professional manner. Strong documentation, organization, communication, and follow-through skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to urgent technical issues as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or operational business environment. Experience supporting ERP systems, production systems, inventory systems, or other business-critical applications. Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, multifactor authentication, conditional access, Intune, or endpoint management tools. Experience with monitoring tools, ticketing systems, SIEM tools, remote management tools, or asset management platforms. Experience with PowerShell, scripting, automation, or basic network automation. Knowledge of IT security frameworks, risk management, incident response, and disaster recovery planning. Certifications such as CompTIA Network+ , CompTIA Security+ , Cisco CCNA , Microsoft , or VMware certifications are preferred. Physical and Work Environment Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach as needed to access workstations, network equipment, printers, server rooms, and cabling areas. Ability to lift and move IT equipment such as computers, monitors, printers, switches, and related hardware. May be required to work in both office and operational environments. May occasionally be required to respond to urgent system outages, after-hours maintenance, or emergency technical issues.
