Skills Required
The Linux System Administrator will possess knowledge in decision making; organizational awareness; and problem-solving skills.
Additional Skills Required
Working knowledge of OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms running on-prem and on public clouds such as AWS, Azure and GCP
Expertise in monitoring, performance tuning, and maintaining Kubernetes clusters. Project management skills.
Work Experience Required
This classification requires a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, Suse, Debian Linux. Four (4) years of experience in developing Ansible playbooks, Shell, and Python scripts. Ability to author and implement automation for complex operational and administrative tasks. Experience with security tools and threat mitigation technologies such as McAfee, CISCO AMP, Nessus Tenable, Tanium, and Dell Secureworks Red Cloak. Experience with VMware, Vcenter, and ESXi.
Education/Training Required
This classification requires the possession of a bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for-year basis.
Additional Information
Local to LA candidates only. This is an onsite position, locations are both Downey and the RRCC Election Center - address 13401 Crossroads Pkwy North, City of Industry. Working during and / or for election coverage and prep gap environment for election coverage.
