Contract Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Cloud System Administrator to support and modernize our infrastructure environment. This role is ideal for a seasoned systems administrator with strong on-premise foundational roots who has transitioned into AWS cloud operations and DevOps practices. You will manage EC2-centric cloud environments, assist with lift-and-shift migrations, oversee Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, and support enterprise application deployments while helping drive infrastructure automation. Key Responsibilities Support, monitor, and maintain AWS infrastructure with a heavy emphasis on EC2-centric workloads. Assist in executing lift-and-shift migrations from on-premise data centers to AWS. Administer and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines to ensure dependable build and deployment processes. Perform system administration, patching, configuration, and monitoring on Windows Server and/or Linux operating systems. Manage web servers and enterprise content management systems, specifically IIS and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). Handle end-to-end lifecycle management of enterprise SSL/TLS certificates (procurement, deployment, renewals). Write and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Python) or Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to streamline routine operational tasks. Troubleshoot complex, tier-3 issues spanning infrastructure, networking, OS, and application tiers. Required Experience & Qualifications 5+ years of systems administration experience across Windows Server and/or enterprise Linux platforms. 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting AWS cloud environments, particularly Amazon EC2, VPC, IAM, and EBS/S3. Proven track record supporting lift-and-shift migrations into cloud environments. Solid experience administering Jenkins pipelines and managing build/deployment configurations. Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining Microsoft IIS web servers and supporting application deployments (experience with Adobe Experience Manager / AEM is a strong plus). Demonstrated experience with enterprise SSL certificate provisioning, renewal, and binding. Working knowledge of infrastructure automation and scripting using Terraform, PowerShell, or Bash. Strong diagnostic and root-cause analysis skills across multi-tiered enterprise application architectures.
