As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for the support and administration of the corporate and remote site infrastructure. You will provide technical ownership & leadership of the server infrastructure and related systems. Successful candidates are hands-on with excellent technical and customer service skills with a clear desire to respond to customer needs, to support and develop technology solutions. The administrator's primary responsibility will be to work with the systems team on day-to-day activities and assigned projects.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsible for maintaining, upgrading, patching and the ongoing administration of Windows/Linux servers, domain controllers and enterprise applications. Participate in design, architecture, implementation plans, and maintenance for server infrastructure. Administer Azure infrastructure, SharePoint, Sophos XDR, Microsoft Defender XDR & Cloud, RingCentral VOIP system, SOTI MDM solution, Proofpoint, Connectwise RMM, and various other applications. Provide technical support to our end user community at United Pacific, which includes desktop support and resolving helpdesk issues for internal and remote users. Other duties as assigned by manager.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience is required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred. 3 or more years of experience administering Windows and Linux servers is required. Experience with Windows server architecture including Group Policy, DNS, and Active Directory is required. Knowledge of scripting to facilitate automation (Powershell) is required. Experience with Azure architecture and systems is required. Experience in Office 365 administration is required. Strong working knowledge of Cybersecurity principles and implementation is preferred. Knowledge of networking principles including TCP/IP, DHCP, and Firewall/switch administration is required. Meraki infrastructure experience a plus. Strong troubleshooting skills with various systems and applications are required. Ability to work with people in all types of positions and have considerable tact in dealing with others is required. Ability to learn quickly and tackle new and technically complex problems with courage and tenacity is required. Must have demonstrated ability to assist with emerging problems quickly and with flexibility. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing needs and requirements is required. Must be detail-oriented and be an organized thinker who is service-minded with strong communication & customer service skills. Ability to lift 20lbs. when needed.
