Directs the maintenance and operions within the District. Area may extend beyond ste boundaries and include regional, nional, and internional operions. Serves as a second level manager in the organizion with one level of subordine managerial officials. Uses effective performance management to lead assigned group in completing the mission and meeting FAA and Air Traffic Organizion goals and objectives. Responsible to ensure successful integrion and modernizion of the NAS Supports the implemention of Concept of Operions (CONOPS) evolution within the District. Maintains contacts both internal and external to the District, including senior management union representives, service center personnel, members of the ste local and federal government, foreign government aviion official general public, ATO Service Units, FAA lines of business representives of the aviion industry and military to facilite resolution of air traffic operional and technical program issues. Frequently represents the FAA on interagency/industry committees and nional and internional groups th develop, monitor and evalue District programs and operions. Has authority to make commitments for subordine organizional units, within guidelines. Individual and organizional performance is typically reviewed periodically by higher level management, usually through stus reports and organizional performance measures.
