The IAM solutions include identity governance and administration and identity management federation operations; single sign-on, access management, multi-factor authentication, and other systems and services within Identity & Access Management service offering. The incumbent functions with a high degree of autonomy, focusing on hands-on delivery, collaboration with stakeholders, business analysts, and vendors on implementations, and working with vendors and campus partners on integration with service providers while contributing to strategic direction, mentorship, architecture, and design of complex systems. This role may lead teams, projects, and guide the work of other staff as needed to complete projects or operational assignments and is expected to apply skills and effectively select methods and techniques to obtain solutions as a seasoned, experienced IT professional with a full understanding of current practices and relevant policies and procedures to resolve a wide range of issues. This position is classified as predominantly remote with occasional visits to campus as needed. Working hours will be based on Pacific Standard Time (PST). This position is funded on soft funds. Information Technology Solutions has funding for two (2) years for this position. Should funding become available in the future, this position could be extended. The full salary range for the IAM System Administrator and Engineer is $108,262.80 to $206,106.48 annually. However, the pay scale for this position is UP TO $157,184.64 annually. UCR bases salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, UCR is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a university employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Advanced working knowledge of authentication technologies such as SAML, OAuth, ODIC, and Shibboleth Demonstrated advanced knowledge, skills and abilities associated with system problem identification and resolution. Knowledge necessary to design, set up, operate and correct malfunctions involving technology systems. Experience in incident response and digital forensics, including data collection, examination and analysis. Advanced knowledge of business and process analysis functions.
