Job•Lab Administrator / Network Lab Administrator (Part-Time)
Location:
Milpitas, CA•
Onsite Only Schedule:
Part-time, ~20 hours/week (flexible days/hours between 9 AM•6 PM; no weekends)
Pay Rate:
$25•$30/hr on W2 (based on relevant experience)
Duration:
6+ months (long-term contract) Role Overview The Lab Administrator will manage lab environment in Milpitas. This role is hands-on , requiring experience with networking, device management, and troubleshooting. The candidate will maintain lab infrastructure, ensure proper configurations, and manage inventory, while keeping customers and internal teams informed. This role is fully onsite and is not suitable for students or fresh graduates, as it requires proven hands-on experience . Key Responsibilities Rack and stack devices in the lab Configure devices and platforms as per lab and customer requirements Recreate customer scenarios for testing and validation Order and manage lab equipment and inventory Maintain lab topology and platforms Troubleshoot network and device issues independently Respond to urgent requests and resolve issues efficiently Keep internal teams and customers updated on task progress Required Skills & Experience Basic networking knowledge, including cabling and troubleshooting Hands-on experience managing devices, switches, and lab environments Familiarity with Aruba products is a plus (but not mandatory) Ability to handle tasks independently and proactively Strong communication skills for coordinating with customers and internal teams Additional Notes Not open to students•the role requires someone who will commit long-term Must have scenario-based troubleshooting experience, not just theoretical knowledge Must be able to manage and maintain devices (rack/stack, configurations) Hands-on networking and lab management experience is critical
