Immediately Job Description Job Description Mater Dei High School, a co-educational, college preparatory diocesan Catholic high school, is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to support and advance the school's technology infrastructure in service of faculty, staff, and students. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the stability, security, and performance of the school's network, systems, and data environments. The IT Systems Administrator ensures the integrity of the operating system environment and all core computer systems by performing essential system maintenance tasks such as system backups, recovery procedures, and file maintenance to promote uptime and efficient performance. The role includes acquiring, installing, and testing system software upgrades and computer components, configuring systems, resolving technical issues, and maintaining clear documentation of IT infrastructure and troubleshooting procedures. In addition, this position manages institutional data systems and reporting, collaborates and cross-trains with other members of the technology team, and works closely with administrators to ensure accurate and efficient data reporting. The role may require nights, weekends, and on-call support to maintain fully operational systems and ensure continuity of service across campus technology platforms.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred in Computer Science or a related technical field. IT certificates or years of equivalent work experience preferred.
Certifications:
IT certifications required.
Experience:
Level II Network Engineer experience required. May need to use higher-level programming languages (SQL, MS Power Shell, CLI). Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and awareness of current professional technology, including cybersecurity.
