Job Description

Aqua Metrology Systems (AMS) installations of water and wastewater analytical and environmental treatment solutions are expanding nationwide, driving the continued demand for high-quality installation and service. The company's client base in the southwest region of the US is growing rapidly and AMS has an immediate opening for a full-time Network Systems Administrator to support their innovative offering of online inorganic, trace metal and THM water quality analyzers and remediation treatment systems within municipal and industrial markets. AMS Analytical solutions include the Instran™, MetalGuard™, SafeGuard™, SafeGuard™ Pro, THM-100™ and product lines; AMS Environmental solutions include the SafeGuard™ H2O product line. As part of a small and dynamic international company, the Network Systems Administrator will serve in support of the internal customer and play a key role in further defining and building the IT program.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), VPNs, and other data communication systems.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect data, software, and hardware from threats
  • Identify and solve any problems that arise with computer networks and systems.
  • Consult with internal customers to specify system requirements and design solutions.
  • Application selection and support, as well as ongoing license oversight for best financial performance as well as ensuring the tool has met the specified requirements.
  • Assemble new systems.
  • Maintain existing software and hardware and upgrade any that have become obsolete.
  • Monitor computer networks and systems to identify how performance can be improved.
  • Provide network administration and support.
  • Develop policies.
  • Configure and monitor field deployed IoT devices and their data plans.
The Network Systems Administrator is an entry to mid-level position. Building and maintaining a program will be a key part of the position. This position will support staff at the headquarters in Sunnyvale, a software and DevOps team in Barcelona, and a sales and instrumentation support team in the field. Devices and systems that will be supported are in use by both AMS and the customers of AMS. A small amount of data management will be needed. The position will work on site in Sunnyvale 5 days per week. Systems documentation and communication will be critical to success. : Degree in IT or Computer Science or equivalent experience Comp TIA A+ certification preferred Experience with Google Workspace Linux experience preferred GoDaddy Experience preferred Experience setting up production and testing environments Demonstrated foundation in network protocols and hardware Mobile and web application support experience preferred Confident troubleshooting skills Excellent organizational skills Collaborative
