$21 -$23 per hour Job Summary VPI Compounding Pharmacy is looking for a detail-oriented Seasonal Admin Support team member to help our Admin Department during higher-volume seasons. This temporary role will mainly support data entry, prescription/order updates, patient record updates, documentation, and general administrative workflow. This position will include approximately 3 weeks of training on tasks, systems, HIPAA expectations, and department workflows before working more independently on assigned tasks. Key Responsibilities Enter and update prescription, patient, provider, and order information accurately. Assist with prescription processing support, refills, order updates, and documentation as assigned. Review information for accuracy and escalate questions, missing information, or discrepancies to the appropriate Admin team member. Help with Admin queues, backlogs, and seasonal workflow needs. Follow department SOPs, workflows, and timelines. Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and company data security expectations. Communicate professionally with Admin team members, pharmacy staff, and other departments as needed. Early Expectations Week 1: Work with Admin Trainer for prescription entry training shadowing entry, with breaks in day to cover prescription handoff and pick-up Week 2: Work closely with Admin Trainer for remaining prescription entry questions, have trainer shadow independent entry. Finish prescription handoff training. Week 3: Final prescription entry shadowing if necessary, move to independent work. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Active Colorado Provisional Pharmacy Technician License or Colorado Pharmacy Technician required. Previous data entry, administrative, pharmacy, healthcare, or customer service experience preferred. Strong and fast typing accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to learn new systems and follow step-by-step processes. Strong organization, communication, and follow-through skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust to changing department needs. Physical Demands Must be able to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
