Job Description
Point Solutions Group, a subsidiary of ClearanceJobs is assisting our Colorado Springs based client with their search for a Unix Engineering work to be performed at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colorado, supporting the Space and Ground segment for protected
MILSATCOM.
Primary Responsibilities- Must meet IAT Level II certification (Security+, CASP, CAP, CISSP) prior to starting.
- Perform daily systems administration and help desk tasks, to include building, monitoring, maintaining, patching, and troubleshooting physical and virtual systems across Solaris and Linux environments.
- Develop scripts using Perl, Python, PowerShell, VBScript, or other similar tools to improve administration automation.
- Manage File Systems (ZFS, UFS) to include partitioning, growing/shrinking file systems, and troubleshooting complex storage issues.
- Assist and manage VEEAM storage appliance
- Manage, update, troubleshoot all aspects of LDAP clients and servers.
- Configure and integrate Solaris with Active Directory for authentication.
PDOM/LDOM
configuration and management.- Apply cybersecurity best practices to ensure high compliance status is met, to include STIGs, Nessus and ACAS scan remediation and Cyber documentation.
- Maintain and develop documentation, as necessary.
- Perform periodic COTS assessments to determine continued compliance, usage, and needs.
- Troubleshoot any issues and provide support across the Information System.
- Develop, integrate, and install periodic releases per customer requirements.
- Create, update, and implement design documents for various aspects of the systems engineering lifecycle.
