  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • As a Senior PLM Systems Administrator, you will own the backend infrastructure, server environments, integrations, and data architecture that keep our engineering tool stack running.
This is not a configuration or end-user support role. It is an infrastructure and systems engineering role focused on the servers, databases, integrations, and deployment pipelines behind tools like Siemens Teamcenter, Duro PLM, and the CAD platforms they connect to. You will be the person who keeps the lights on and the data flowing. When Teamcenter needs an upgrade, you plan and execute it. When a new CAD integration needs to be stood up, you build the backend. When licensing infrastructure breaks, you fix it. When engineering asks why a workflow is slow, you trace it to the database query or server config causing the problem. This role sits within the IT Engineering team and reports to the Head of IT. You will work closely with engineering leadership, the IT team, and external vendor partners to ensure our PLM infrastructure keeps pace with the company's growth.
Responsibilities :
Own the backend infrastructure for Siemens Teamcenter, including server administration, database management (Oracle or MS SQL), Active Workspace deployment, and environment management across development, test, and production instances Plan and execute Teamcenter version upgrades, patches, and hotfixes with minimal disruption to engineering workflows, coordinating with vendor support and internal stakeholders Administer and maintain Duro PLM (on-premises deployment), including server health, backups, access controls, and coordination with Duro support for updates and issue resolution Build and maintain integrations between PLM systems and CAD tools (NX, SolidWorks, or CATIA), including connector configuration, data mapping, and troubleshooting synchronization issues Manage PLM licensing infrastructure, including Siemens FlexNet license servers, usage monitoring, and license optimization across the engineering organization Maintain and monitor the underlying server and database infrastructure supporting PLM systems, including performance tuning, capacity planning, backup and recovery procedures, and high-availability configurations Support integration touchpoints with adjacent engineering tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler (Teamwork Cloud), Zuken E3 (PDM adapters), and Ansys STK, where data flows intersect with PLM Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, PowerShell, bash) for routine administrative tasks, health checks, and deployment processes Document system architectures, runbooks, and standard operating procedures for PLM infrastructure operations Coordinate with government security and compliance teams to ensure PLM environments meet ITAR, CMMC, and data classification requirements
Basic Hiring Criteria :
Minimum 5 years of experience administering Siemens Teamcenter in a production environment, including installation, upgrades, BMIDE (Business Modeler IDE) configuration, and Active Workspace deployment Strong database administration skills with Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server, including performance tuning, backup/recovery, and query optimization in the context of PLM workloads Experience managing Windows Server and Linux (RHEL or similar) environments hosting enterprise applications Hands-on experience with at least one major CAD-to-PLM integration (NX, SolidWorks via SWIM, or CATIA) at the server and connector level Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or bash for system administration tasks Understanding of enterprise networking, DNS, load balancing, and storage as they relate to multi-server PLM deployments Strong troubleshooting methodology and ability to diagnose issues across application, database, and infrastructure layers U.S. citizenship (required for ITAR compliance)
Desired Qualifications :
Siemens Teamcenter Certified Professional certification or equivalent demonstrated expertise Experience with Teamcenter ITK (Integration Toolkit) or SOA service customization Familiarity with Siemens FlexNet or similar enterprise license management systems Experience administering PLM systems in aerospace, defense, or other ITAR-controlled environments Familiarity with cloud-native PLM platforms (Duro, Arena, or similar) in addition to traditional on-premises PLM Exposure to MBSE tool integration (Cameo/Teamwork Cloud) or ECAD tool integration (Zuken E3 PDM adapters) CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (DoD 8140 IAT Level II) Active U.S. security clearance at Secret level or above, or ability to obtain one Experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, or containerization for application deployment Benefits offered to vary by the contract.
