Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated System Administrator to join our dynamic team. As a System Administrator, you will manage and support multiple clients' IT infrastructure. This role involves working on various technologies, troubleshooting issues, and proactively managing environments to ensure optimal system performance. You will play a key role in maintaining our clients' IT systems' reliability, security, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
System Management:
Maintain, monitor, and manage client systems, including servers, workstations, networks, and cloud environments (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, etc.).
Troubleshooting & Support:
Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for clients, resolving escalated tickets related to hardware, software, and network issues within defined SLAs.
Network Configuration & Maintenance:
Implement and manage firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs, ensuring secure network configurations for clients.
Security Management:
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity best practices, including patch management, antivirus updates, and monitoring for potential vulnerabilities.
Backup & Disaster Recovery:
Manage backup systems and disaster recovery plans, ensuring that client data is protected and can be restored quickly in case of an emergency.
Client Communication:
Work closely with clients to understand their IT needs, provide guidance, and deliver exceptional customer service.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed documentation of client environments, system configurations, and procedures. Be available for scheduled on-call after-hours support. Occasional on-site support for customers
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role, ideally within an MSP environment. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud services (Microsoft 365, Azure, etc.). Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management. Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, and networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs). Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices (multi-factor authentication, patch management, endpoint protection). Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+,
Microsoft Certified:
Azure Administrator, or Cisco CCNA) are a plus.
