Information Technology Department ManagerPOSITION SUMMARY
The Information Technology Assistant performs end user support activities. Assistants provide help desk support and provide assistance in installing and configuring computer hardware and software programs. Assistants routinely perform initial troubleshooting for hardware and software systems. Assistants will work with specialists, management, managed service providers, contractors, and vendors to resolve system issues and complete organizational projects. IT Assistants help with the direction and supervision of the IT Techs, Sr. IT Techs and IT Department Manager.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides day-to-day assistance and service to staff via telephone or in-person on programs and systems such as CPR+, Nextiva VOIP Services, Microsoft Outlook email, Office Applications, Adobe Acrobat, and other end user applications.
- Configures, installs, and supports of PC-based hardware and software; installation and support of computer peripherals such as video display monitors, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and multi-function devices.
- Performs routine telecommunication administration duties such as configuring, installing, and troubleshooting IP telephone equipment; and the operation, administration, and troubleshooting of video teleconferencing equipment.
- Provides end-user training on hardware/software and assists with the creation of training materials and documentation on for presentation or reference.
- Assists with moderately complex, technical, or analytical project tasks as assigned.
