Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with IT service requests and support calls, including basic hardware, software, application, and connectivity troubleshooting. Assists with the setup, configuration, and deployment of desktops, laptops, peripherals, and other end-user technology. Supports routine user account administration and software installation under the direction of IT staff. Documents service requests, troubleshooting performed, and resolutions within the IT ticketing system. Assists with IT equipment and asset inventory. Performs routine operational and system support tasks as assigned. Works with members of the IT team on projects and initiatives across areas such as systems, networking, cybersecurity, applications, and technology infrastructure. Gains exposure to the operation and support of technology within a 24/7 business environment. Communicates effectively and professionally. Follows Company and departmental policies and procedures. Performs all other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Prior professional IT experience is not required. Basic knowledge of computer hardware, Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and networking concepts preferred. Interest in developing a career in information technology. Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and work with different areas of IT. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to successfully complete the background check and licensing process, required by the Delaware Lottery. Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information. Must be able to wear the assigned uniform provided by Delaware Park. Must be able to walk and stand for at least a full eight (8)-hour shift. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. and push or pull up to 50 lbs. Ability to bend, reach, pull, push, kneel, squat and grasp as needed. Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to work throughout the property in environments that may include extended walking distances, confined spaces, noise, music, varying lighting conditions, and varying temperatures.
