10% Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Network and Computer Systems Administrator supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Rapid Enterprise Solutions division (AFLCMC/EBR) at Eglin AFB, FL. This division powers the weapons enterprise with a superior workforce, modernized facilities, and innovative digital capabilities. Our Network and Computer Systems Administrators provide support and assistance in the management and operations of armament program related network systems.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Certifications (Mandatory): Must hold and maintain a minimum Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II Certification (e.g., Security+ CE, GSEC, CCNA-Security) in accordance with DoD Manual 8140.03 (or applicable successor/revision). Must be certified to support network operations.
Education and Experience:
Associate's degree in a relevant field + 7 years of relevant experience; OR Associate's degree in a relevant field + 5 years of relevant experience AND an active IAT Level II certification; OR Bachelor's degree in a relevant field + 5 years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor's degree in a relevant field + 3 years of relevant experience AND an active IAT Level II certification.
Relevance:
All degree programs and professional experience must be directly relevant to Information Systems and Network Administration.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Direct experience with Active Directory (AD) and Directory Resource Administrator (DRA). Practical, hands-on experience with hardware setups, including KVM switches, cabling, and peripheral integration. Proficiency in system imaging and deployment of baseline OS configurations. Proven ability to perform independent technical research and troubleshoot complex anomalies. Experience using IAO Express (Information Assurance Officer Express). Experience with secure mobile device management, specifically iPhone configurations. Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting secure communication terminals, such as vIPer phones and
SVOIP/STE
systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Contractor shall apply comprehensive knowledge and experience in the administration, management, and operation of organizational information and network systems. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Hardware & Workstation Setup:
Rapidly assemble, configure, and deploy workstations utilizing KVM switches, secure networks, and local peripheral equipment.
Systems Administration:
Deploy baseline operating system configurations, perform routine system imaging, and execute security patching for Windows and Linux servers, workstations, and laptops.
Identity & Access Management:
Manage user account lifecycle, folder permissions, security groups, and distribution lists using Active Directory and DRA. User Support (Tier I & II): Provide responsive, in-person and remote technical customer service to resolve system access, software, and hardware failures quickly.
Secure Telecommunications:
Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot secure communications, including vIPer phones, STU III/STE, and secure iPhone profiles.
Equipment Accountability:
Serve as the IT equipment custodian, tracking hardware/software licenses, managing inventory, and assisting with compliant equipment transfer and destruction.
Security & Compliance:
Act as a Cyber Security Liaison, ensuring all systems align with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and COMSEC requirements.
