Position Summary This is a high‑impact role for a self‑driven IT professional who thrives on independence. As the sole IT resource for our facility, you'll manage, maintain, and support the full technology stack—servers, networks, security, cloud services, and end‑user systems. You'll be the go‑to expert for all things IT, ensuring our infrastructure is secure, reliable, and ready for the next stage of growth. Key Responsibilities Own all IT infrastructure, systems, and end‑user support Serve as the internal point of contact for all IT issues and service requests Administer, maintain, and update servers and critical systems Oversee daily backups, retention policies, and disaster recovery processes Troubleshoot and resolve advanced system and network issues Support desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals Administer Microsoft 365, including Exchange, Entra ID, and security policies Implement and enforce security best practices (MFA, conditional access, governance) Evaluate current systems and recommend improvements Plan and execute IT projects, upgrades, and system implementations Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service agreements Maintain accurate documentation for systems and processes Communicate technical concepts clearly to non‑technical users Prioritize workload to ensure timely resolution and project completion Technical Skills & Expertise Microsoft Azure administration (VMs, networking, storage, identity integration) Active Directory (on‑prem and hybrid) PowerShell scripting and automation Microsoft Intune endpoint management Strong Microsoft 365 platform knowledge Backup and disaster recovery tools (Veeam, Azure Backup) Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs) Virtualization technologies (Hyper‑V; VMware a plus) Cybersecurity best practices (firewalls, endpoint protection, patching) Monitoring and logging tools (SolarWinds, Event Viewer) Identity and access management (IAM) MFA and conditional access implementation Familiarity with NIST and CIS frameworks Advanced experience with Fortinet/FortiGate firewalls Professional Skills Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities Excellent organization and time‑management Confident decision‑making in an independent role Clear, effective communication with non‑technical users Customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to service quality Qualifications Minimum 4 years of experience in IT or systems administration preferred Certifications preferred but not required: Microsoft 365
