Senior Systems Specialist - Augusta, GA 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars Augusta, GA 30906 Full-time OnCare Digital Assets 13 reviews Full-time Senior Systems Specialist Augusta, GA OnCare Digital Assets, Inc., seeks a Senior Systems Specialist to maintain and control specialized Quality Control Systems (QCS) and Distributed Control System (DCS). Perform a variety of complex tasks, such as nuclear sensor calibration and maintenance as well as ensure all working in the vicinity are at minimal to no risk of radiation exposure. Perform IR sensor calibration and maintenance to ensure that the product percent moisture measurement is accurate and within specifications. Provide technical paper making guidance, and resource support for peers and customers. Define requirements, priorities, and viable alternatives, and additionally coordinate the efforts to locate, assess, install, test, and maintain
QCS -DCS
systems. Provide system performance reports that include production tonnage and quality statistical information on each reel of paper produced. 25% domestic travel required for project site and emergency customer support or training. May require relocation to client locations anywhere in the U.S. Work to be performed from company locations, headquartered in Appleton, WI, and at various unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S.
Job Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience in the Paper industry Quality Control Systems field.
Must have experience with:
Providing practical technical assistance for the ABB Network Platform scanner; ABB 800xA system components and advanced troubleshooting techniques; Executing preventive and corrective maintenance; Optimizing control systems, including Cross Direction CD & Machine Direction MD, PID tuning, direct digital, and supervisory control; Maintaining and troubleshooting servers' operator stations and network components, sensors including calibration, verification, and maintenance, and machine and equipment drive systems; Partnering with production teams to enhance product quality and machine reliability; Performing system diagnostic analysis and applying troubleshooting methodologies; Utilizing digital computers used for automation of industrial processes such as Allen Bradley PLC; Using diagnostic tools like oscilloscope and multimeter; Conducting analysis and making recommendations in technically complex areas; Performing mechanical work and handling tools with precision; CD actuators, Valmet CD actuators, ABB CD actuators, and VIB actuators; Providing technical guidance, and resource support for peers and customers; Serving as a subject matter expert in paper machine operations and control systems; Facilitating coordination with clients regarding control system-related matters; and Conducting regular and continuous system revisions. 25% domestic travel required for project site and emergency customer support or training.
