Job Description
IT Support Technician Position! Our Fortune 500 client is seeking an IT Support Technician to join their team at a chemical manufacturing facility in the Clear Lake area. This role is ideal for a motivated, customer-focused IT professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to continuously learn and expand their technical expertise. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting end users, maintaining IT infrastructure, and ensuring a seamless technology experience across the site. Onsite in Clear Lake, TX 12 month contract $25-30/hr on W2 Candidates must be able to work directly on W2 without sponsorship. No C2C! Key Responsibilities Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support and fulfill service requests through phone, email, walk-up support, and self-service portals while maintaining exceptional customer service standards. Provision, configure, deploy, and maintain end-user computing devices, including desktops, laptops, software, and peripheral equipment, in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Escalate incidents and complex technical issues to appropriate IT teams following defined operational processes. Monitor and manage open support tickets to ensure accurate prioritization, timely resolution, and compliance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides, installation procedures, best practices, and knowledge base articles. Research, evaluate, and assist with the implementation of new technologies and solutions that support business and operational objectives. Track, manage, and maintain IT assets, including both physical hardware and logical assets, in accordance with IT asset management policies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing IT initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
