Job Description

Server Engineer Position Summary Works with senior Server Engineers to configure, install, and maintain the Kootenai Health enterprise server infrastructure, to include virtualization, compute, storage, and applications supporting the infrastructure like Active Directory and enterprise backups. Responsibilities Tests and evaluates current procedures, working with senior Server Engineers to implement solutions Troubleshoots server performance issues Able to complete more advanced project and task work, without guidance Works with senior team members to develop technical skill sets through troubleshooting increasingly complex issues Performs other related duties as assigned Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish projects and tasks Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned Requirements and Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree or Vocational/ Technical diploma with emphasis in Information Science or related discipline degree from accredited institution or equivalent experience preferred Minimum of 6 years of server experience Microsoft certification preferred Technical skills across multiple enterprise server and data center technologies Working Conditions Must be able to lift and move up to 10 lbs Must be able to reach arms above or below shoulder height Must be able to maintain a sitting position Typical equipment used in an office job Repetitive movements
