We are seeking a tech-savvy, hands-on Manufacturing Systems Administrator motivated by building reliable systems, supporting shop-floor operations, and growing alongside a values-driven organization. Position Summary The Manufacturing Systems Administrator is responsible for the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of ERP, MES, and supporting IT systems across our aerospace thermoplastic composites manufacturing environment. This role supports shop-floor and office technology alike — from ERP configuration and SQL reporting to shop-floor PCs, barcode scanners, and programmed equipment integrations. The Administrator works closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and IT to troubleshoot issues, maintain infrastructure, and ensure our systems support production and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities
ERP & MES
Administration Serve as the primary administrator for ERP and MES systems, including configuration, permissions, workflows, and module support. Troubleshoot issues related to work orders, BOMs, routings, MRP, scheduling, costing, and inventory transactions. Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and user guides; manage upgrades, patches, and testing. Shop-Floor & Infrastructure Support Support shop-floor PCs, barcode scanners, label printers, network devices, and other production technology. Maintain servers, backups, networking, and general IT infrastructure. Diagnose and resolve issues where ERP/MES data impacts CNC machines, automated forming cells, consolidation presses, robotic trimming systems, or other programmed equipment. Data, Reporting & Integrations Develop and maintain dashboards, queries, and reports for Operations, Quality, and Finance using SQL and BI tools. Support integrations between manufacturing, accounting, and business systems. Monitor data accuracy across inventory, WIP, labor reporting, and machine utilization. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with production, accounting, engineering, and management to improve processes and system efficiency. Lead user training, onboarding, and continuous improvement initiatives. Coordinate with outside software vendors and IT service providers as needed. Ensure systems support AS9100, ITAR/EAR, and customer-specific compliance requirements. Required Qualifications Experience supporting ERP and/or MES systems in a manufacturing environment. Strong PC, networking, and troubleshooting skills. Proficiency with SQL databases and reporting tools. Ability to communicate effectively with both office and production personnel. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Experience with or ability to learn Python, .NET, PowerShell, or XML. Preferred Qualifications Experience with manufacturing ERP systems such as Epicor, Intuitive, or SAP. Experience with MES platforms or shop-floor data collection systems. Experience with Power BI, Power Query, or similar analytics tools. Familiarity with CNC/robotic systems, DNC systems, or machine communication protocols. Knowledge of AS9100, ITAR/EAR, and aerospace documentation requirements. Background in a controlled or certified manufacturing environment (ISO, AS9100). Would You Love It Here? •
