Job Description
PURPOSE The OT Network Administrator will support the Operations Division (Manufacturing and Warehousing) by managing the OT/IT infrastructure in throughout the manufacturing and warehouse distribution facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Assist with managing, maintaining, and supporting the OT/IT network infrastructure and related components Act as liaison between the SMC Operational Division and IT teams Review and recommend network-related hardware and software technologies, designs, and services Troubleshoot and resolve network, application, and system issues Coordinate changes to IT processes & systems (examples, Active Directory, backups, firewalls, network switches, software applications, SQL servers, VMWare environment) to minimize operational impact Support current and legacy computer systems in OT environment Respond to equipment downtime issues in the plant and establish any required outside resources to assist in responding to issues quickly Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without interruption of production Support a variety of technologies such as human-machine interfaces (HMI), programmable logic controllers (PLC), and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) Other duties as assignedPHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
Collaborative team environment in a shared workspace Carry a company-provided phone & participate in on-call rotation General office, computer room, warehouse, and factory areas Off-hours work and travel as required Sitting for long periods Minimum lifting requirements of 15 poundsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Associate degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or relevant work experience 1+ years of relevant related experience in a similar role Basic understanding of ITSM Principles or ITIL4 Foundations certification Must have proficient knowledge of operating systems, network systems, and IT architecture Windows systems administration Understanding of network threats and appropriate mitigation techniques Experience Active Directory Group Policy SaaS concepts and technologies (IDM, MFA, M365, ITSM) Experience with MS SQL server WAN/LAN concepts and technologiesDNS, IPAM, NTP
