Job Description

Job Overview We are looking for a highly organized, tech-savvy Plumbing Dispatcher & Customer Service Specialist to act as the true "air-traffic controller" for Eddyson Plumbing, LLC. We are not your average pen-and-paper plumbing shop. We heavily leverage modern technology—from cloud-based Field Service Management software to VoIP dialers and real-time fleet telematics—to run a highly efficient operation. In this vital role, you will work out of our dispatch office, taking incoming customer calls, optimizing technician routes across the Ashland and Huntington areas, and ensuring a seamless, 5-star customer experience from the first ring to job completion. Responsibilities Customer Communication:
Manage multi-line phone systems to handle customer inquiries, book appointments, and triage emergency plumbing requests with empathy, professionalism, and clarity.
Strategic Dispatching:
Assign jobs to the right technicians based on skill level, location, and urgency to maximize daily efficiency and minimize drive time.
Tech & Fleet Management:
Monitor real-time fleet locations using integrated telematics to optimize routing and keep customers updated on accurate arrival times via phone or SMS.
Data Entry & Administration:
Maintain accurate, detailed records of customer information, service notes, and scheduling data within our dispatch software.
Team Coordination:
Serve as the primary bridge between the office and the field, communicating seamlessly with the Service Manager and technicians to adjust schedules on the fly as daily priorities shift.
Process Improvement:
Help us refine our internal processes and test new software integrations to continually improve the dispatching workflow.
Qualifications Tech-Savvy:
Highly comfortable working with computers, dispatch routing software, VoIP phone systems, and GPS tracking tools.
Local Geography:
Strong geographical knowledge of the Ashland, KY and Huntington, WV regions to effectively route technicians.
Communication Mastery:
Exceptional phone etiquette, active listening, and the ability to maintain a calm and reassuring demeanor during emergency customer calls.
Multitasking & Organization:
Proven ability to juggle ringing phones, text messages, and a dynamic dispatch board in a fast-paced setting without losing focus.
Data Entry:
Fast and accurate typing skills for efficient documentation and record-keeping.
Experience:
Previous experience in dispatching, customer service, or scheduling is highly preferred.
Pay:
$10.00 - $12.00 per hour
