IPG Photonics is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Systems Administrator to support, maintain, and enhance enterprise infrastructure within a complex global manufacturing and defense-focused environment. This hands-on role is responsible for the design, deployment, administration, security, and ongoing support of critical infrastructure platforms, including virtualization, Microsoft technologies, identity management, and enterprise systems. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, administer, and maintain enterprise Nutanix and VMware environments.
Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and related services.
Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Intune.
Manage identity, access controls, MFA, and Single Sign-On solutions.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise infrastructure supporting production workloads.
Lead vulnerability remediation, patch management, disaster recovery, backup, and resiliency initiatives.
Automate administrative tasks and operational processes using PowerShell.
Ensure infrastructure environments comply with ITAR requirements and corporate security standards. 5+ years of hands-on Systems Administration or Infrastructure Administration experience in enterprise environments.
Strong experience administering Nutanix and/or VMware virtualization platforms.
Strong administration experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Active Directory, Windows Server, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
PowerShell scripting experience for automation and systems administration.
Experience supporting backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and infrastructure resiliency planning.
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
Hands-on experience supporting ITAR-regulated environments, including controlled-system access, export-controlled data protection, and compliance requirements.
Working knowledge of ITAR restrictions, access controls, user eligibility requirements, system segregation, and the impact of regulatory compliance on infrastructure and cloud technologies. Preferred Qualifications Nutanix certification or advanced Nutanix administration experience.
Experience supporting Hyper-V, AWS, and/or Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
Experience with Veeam Backup & Recovery.
Experience supporting defense, aerospace, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries.
Familiarity with SCCM, PKI, Citrix, MDM platforms, and engineering application environments. Compliance Requirements Must be eligible to work in compliance with U.S. export control and ITAR regulations.
Must be able to access export-controlled information as required by the position.
